The Debussy Quartet and clarinetist Florent Pujuila will be reunited for the first Vivarais Chamber Music Competition, co-organised by the Conservatoire de Privas, the Festival Labeaume en Musiques and the Festival Cordes en ballade, of which the Debussy Quartet is artistic director. A concert programme that will range from Mozart (Concerto for clarinet and orchestra KV. 622) to Donatoni (Clair for clarinet solo), as well as contemporary works by Florent Pujuila himself (Bulgarian Dance, Cœur de Bœuf. . . ). This evening is offered as a free entrance.
In the opening part of this evening, the students of the Orchestra at the Roger School Planchon de Privas will perform a repertoire specially designed for their group and for the Debussy Quartet, which will also be the “sponsor” of this project throughout the 2019-2020 season. An intergenerational event, with nearly a hundred students, not to be missed for young musicians in the making, guided by the greatest!
