Italy, the dream land of Europeans in the 17th century, full of sun, smells, traditions, memories, and the cradle of the mandolin! The Debussy String Quartet invites you for this opening night in the Cathedral Saint-Vincent, proudly standing on the capital of the southern Vivarais, for a journey to the discovery of this fantastic instrument and of Vivaldi. What better way to do this than to invite its worthy representative? Teacher at the Argenteuil Conservatory, at the Pôle Supérieur D’Enseignement Artistique Paris Boulogne-Billancourt and conductor of many plectrum orchestras, Florentino Calvo is the unavoidable reference of the mandolin. He performs with the Orchestre du Théâtre National de l’Opéra de Paris, the Orchestre National de France or the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France. For this celebration, the artist will be accompanied by the Mandolines Estudiantina de Valence, an orchestra with an exceptional heritage. In order to bring together plucked and bowed strings, the Debussy String Quartet will also be part of the celebration!
